Under the patronage and honor of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, Asharqia Chamber will held celebrating the 50th anniversary of the launch of Al-eqtisad magazine on Tuesday 26 March 2019.
Many of the pioneers of the media sector in the Kingdom and businessmen in various categories as well as representatives of a number of government departments involved in media activity will be attending this celebration.
The chairman of Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad al-Ammar al-Khalidi, said that the ceremony will be held at the headquarter of the Chamber, where a large number of journalists from the Kingdom will take part among prominent presidents, editors and journalists in various fields.
He pointed out that the ceremony will witness the honor of editors who have been supervising the magazine for the past 50 years.
Al-Khalidi pays great tribute to the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud Bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Prince of the Eastern Region, of the ceremony and considered it a gesture that worthy of continued bidding for the service of the national economy and this giving country.
He said that the patronage of His Highness confirms his keenness to support the private sector and take care of all its activities.
It comes at the same time about the general economic policy of the country to support the role of this sector and its projects and to emphasize its vitality and effectiveness in the overall development movement.
Al-Khalidi added that the magazine has adopted over the past five decades a specialized economic information message through which it sought to support successive development plans.
He pointed out that the magazine through a number of qualified and distinct competencies worked and will continue to work to monitor and highlight the broad hopes to lead the country in the economic field and discuss the important issues in all neutrality and objectivity through which awareness of local and non-local economic issues and affairs is being promoted.
Al-Khalidi pointed out that the magazine is a true supporter of the private sector and its role in meeting the requirements of the Vision of the Kingdom of 2030, which was in the forefront of publications and media outlets in Saudi Arabia, which dealt with the monitoring and analysis of the Vision and explore its horizons and presentation to the public through believing that this Vision holds good for this country.
Al-Khalidi concluded that during the last 50 years, the magazine has been recorded the most important and most influential event in the national economy, including the oil boom and the launch of mega industrial projects in the Kingdom and in the Eastern region in particular.
It was a testament to all the historical and modern economic renaissance of the country.
